"Creating a passion for Biology in every student. "
I do not believe memorisation is the only way to do well in Biology. Understanding the subject and having a working knowledge of the basic function of a cell is much more productive in arriving at the right answers. Which is why I never teach a student to memorise, but rather to create a story in their head which they carry around with them. This has helped me tremendously in all my years with Biology, and has carved the path to which I am at today.
I have successfully helped my students attain A's in their examinations. Even if they did not get distinction, they leave the classroom with a greater appreciation and interest for the subject.
I graduated with a second class honours in Biological Sciences, and am currently a research officer in Singapore Eye Research Institute doing translational research for drug treatments.
