"Don't give up and work hard :)"
I am aware that my O-levels did not do very well. Hence, I got into YJC. However, I worked hard for A-levels and is currently pursuing a chemistry degree in NUS.
I have not taught any students officially but I have taught some of my friends as well as my younger sister when they require my assistance. After my help, they would understand the concept better and have shown improvement in their grades.
I can teach chemistry for upper secondary O-level students (combined science included) as well as geography elective. I got B3 for combined humanities due to my Social Studies but I was always top few in cohort for geography elective.
I can also teach H2 or H1 chemistry for A-level students as I have just graduated recently and is up-to-date with the new syllabus.
In general, my method of teaching is to build a strong foundation for the student first by testing their concept, as well as to correct their misconceptions in the subject.
For geography, I will teach them how to write a good essay to secure high marks as well as tips to do well in data response questions.
For chemistry, questions (especially for A-levels) require higher order thinking. Students will be taught how to apply the concept that they have learnt onto unfamiliar questions to test their understanding.
