"Every student learns differently"
Hello! I am a recent graduate of Singapore Institute of Technology and my major was Criminology and Security - social science basically. I also hold a Diploma in Biomedical Science from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
I am still relatively new to teaching. Previously, I taught as a relief tutor at a tuition centre which catered to primary school students whose families are less fortunate. The largest class size I had was up to 10 students, even so I was able to manage the class well and ensured that everyone understood the topic taught. As a relief tutor, I taught different subjects which included Primary 2 English and Maths, Primary 5 Chinese as well as Primary 5 and 6 Maths.
I do not have a specific teaching method per se as I would cater my teaching to each individual student. Every student learns at a different pace and with a different style. Sometimes I will breakdown the questions and explain what is needed in the answer, other times I may give a prompt for the student to start answering the question on their own.
