"Every child has the potential to succeed"
I have been doing part-time tutoring for 3 years when I was an undergraduate. Even though it started off as a part-time job to me in the beginning, it has developed into a passion over time. I believe that a teacher plays an important role in a child's learning journey. Being an adaptable and patient tutor, I will seek to understand the child's areas for improvement and try to build rapport with them. After every lesson, I will make it a point to update their parents about the child's progress and what they can improve on. (:
For students who attended my lessons for half a year, there has been an average of 2 grade improvements. For those who attended my lessons for a full year, there has been an average of 3 grade improvements. My highest achievement was helping a Secondary 1 student who was not interested in Mathematics to like the subject. He has shown a jump of 5 grades, from C6 to A1 in 2017.
