"Parents want the best for their children!"
I believe in quality teaching, so I will only have maximum 4 to 5 tutees at one time. I spend time to plan and tailor my Tuition lesson according to my tuttees learning style, so they can understand faster and make progress as soon as possible.
Currently I have 3 tutees. The P3 girl is very weak and has no confidence in comprehension. I planned first few lesson, using p2 comprehension. Introduce her the right skills, make sure she gains confidence and becomes less resistant to practise comprehension.
The p1 boy doesn't like hanyupinyin. I make sure to practise with him every lesson. Give him a weekly task to memorise them, and I will test him on the next lesson. Every week I will build up the list, and test him randomly as the weeks go by.
The p2 girl is weak in maths, especially the problem sum. I will introduce her the model drawing, so she can visualise. The problem sum becomes simpler for her.
I am patient and flexible to adjust my teaching method to suit my student's pace to understand whichever topic he/she is weak in. Once he gasps the concept well and confident of himself, I will then move on to the challenging question, to help him to improve his grade.
I helped my p4 student to improve her maths from 53% in SA1 to 80% in SA2, science from 49% in SA1 to 75% in SA2 her Chinese from 44% in SA1 to 65% in SA2.
