I have done part time tuition and had taught in a Secondary School as a relief teacher for a while. I also have constant interactions with children and youths, hence I know what interest them. I am able to appeal as their friend, but at the same time be firm as their teacher. Many children fear Mathematics as they cannot grasp the logic. I strongly believe that there are no short cuts in improving Mathematics. Constant practice is key when it comes to Mathematics. That being said however, there are also many technics to make Mathematics more bearable. My aim is to encourage students to appreciate Mathematics. They need to know that there is nothing fearsome about Mathematics. I use to fail very badly in Chinese when i was in Primary 1. However with the right teaching technics, i was able to score A for my subsequent Chinese examinations. I am very proud to say i have never scored anything less than an A since then. I was even the top scorer for Chinese in Catholic Junior College. Likewise, with the right teaching method, your child will ace in Mathematics in no time!
