I am a full-time tutor specialising in upper sec. chemistry & Physics and lower sec. science/math. Proficient with both syllabus. My teaching method involves (1) conceptual explanation to student in an understandable manner (will gauge students level and teach at appropriate level) (2) using worked examples and layering difficulty to strengthen concept (3) Practice of various types of questions (4) Review of answers highlighting on structure and keywords to score. I have an overall plan for the curriculum to ensure student is ready before the final exams. But I also focus on spending time on making sure the fundamental concepts are sound, especially for key chapters. Able to provide materials such as summaries, exercises, test etc. I believe every student is different and have their own strengths. I seek to empower them through facilitating their process of self discovery during their learning journey. I also seek to be a good role model and mentor to my students.
