"Practice makes perfect "

I'm currently an undergraduate in university who's looking for a tuition assignment to finance my school allowance. I have had experience in tutoring upper sec English and Chinese. My student was from NA stream and being a non native English speaker, she struggled a lot with the language and subject since young. However, under my tutelage, she has not only improved in terms of academic grades (an improvement from a borderline pass in English and a fail in Chinese to at least a C5-C6), but also cultivated more interest in the subject itself. I constantly reminded her that Language subjects arent subjects that one has to commit to memory given that they are not content based. Instead one should expose herself to more readings and gain insights from them while simultaneously improving on her grammar. This has apparently worked for her as her grammar has improved significantly under my care and her vocabulary has expanded more widely. Thus, Im confident that i can help more students to excel in these 2 subjects.
