I have been teaching Science/ Biology/ Chemistry in a secondary school since 2010. In addition I have been tutoring primary and secondary school students for at least 15 years. Students know me as a teacher who is patient, dedicated and passionate in imparting scientific ideas. As a teacher, I am able to simplify and explain abstract scientific concepts to help students assimilate the information. With the use of pedagogy and teaching techniques, I can assist students to remember and apply scientific concepts to ace their examinations. I teach with the belief that every student has the ability to learn. With the right attitude, coupled with my guidance, I am confident that i will be able to help students achieve their target results. Other than the explanation of concepts, I will place emphasis on answering techniques and how to analyse questions. With my knowledge of the MOE syllabus after many years of teaching, my students have benefited from my lessons. Many of my students have shown significant improvements in their grades within 3-6 months. One Year 3 IB student managed to improve his chemistry grade from E8 to B3 (grades are adjusted to O level format for easier understanding) after 3 sessions with me.
