Dear parents, I have been teaching in primary schools for 2 years and have 5 years of experience in giving tuition. My subject specialisation is in English and I have been assigned teaching roles in multiple grades across P1-6. My many years of teaching experience have helped me develop a set of beliefs about how I can best help students learn and grow. First, I believe that in order to effectively teach my students, I must know as much about them as possible. Therefore, I will look forward to getting to know you and your family. Each student is an individual with their own beliefs, ideas and feelings. My teaching will be tailored to each student's preferred ways of learning so that they can all achieve to the best of their ability. I also believe that my students should take an active role in their learning. Therefore, many of my lessons place them at the centre of the classroom, with me guiding the learning. Your children will not be attending a monotonous session. Instead their intelligence will be challenged so that they can reach their full potential.
