"Helping students think out of the box"
Prefer students to think through problems before solving for them, especially for maths. I do not give them answers directly or tell them how to do the questions directly but rather bring them through the thought process. This allows me to know better which areas they are weak at and what they do not understand. It also allows student to be more flexible and will be able to solve problems that are slightly different from what they did.
