English is beautiful. When done right it helps us convey thoughts and emotions with clarify and finesse. As a teacher who's taught the language for 6 years now, I focus on understanding a student's grasp of the language, then tailor each lesson to further nurture his strengths while keeping in step with his weaker areas. The sciences are so much more than memorizing concepts and recognizing solution patterns. In my lessons, I focus on critical thinking skills, exploring the marvel of science, and a grasp of the thought process involved in understanding challenging concepts that will help my students in many future pursuits. Most importantly, I aspire to install a sense of passion for the sciences and confidence in mastering it. I have been teaching O-level English, Biology and Chemistry for over 6 years now, having taught more than 35 students over the course of it. My role in the student's life is more than a tutor - I help them with their JC and Polytechnic applications, and I provide my own perspective on academic decisions when appropriate. And if it come to pass, I'd like to be an invaluable addendum to your child's academic life as well.
