"Purpose, Perseverance & Progression!"
After graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003, I have been actively pursuing a career in education. Other than teaching in a secondary school straight after my graduation, I have taught for many years in reputable learning centres. Additionally, I have been working as a private tutor since 2000. All these years, I have been teaching English Language to primary school students and English Language as well as English Literature to secondary school students. Thus, I am very familiar with the syllabuses and curriculums. Furthermore, many of my students stay with me from primary school till they graduate at 16 years old. I am very pleased to say that my students have, on the whole, progressed very well with dedicated guidance and effective coaching from a committed tutor with strong work ethic.
My students grades have improved with focussed guidance. For instance, those students who were failing English managed to obtain decent passes in their O levels. Those who do well in English maintain their hard-earned As through effective 'enrichment coaching' to give students more input. In 2011, my class of 12 students in LP scored As and A*s for English.
